So often people think that wine is for snobs or only for special occasions and fine meals.

As you might guess, I disagree.

To me, that is almost like saying food is only for special occasions.

Wine is an agricultural product that can truly enhance the flavor of just about any meal, and paired well, any meal has the potential to enhance the flavor of the wine served alongside it.

Pairing wine can be easy or it can be tricky. When you aren’t sure what wines you even like, it makes the pairing even more challenging.

Also challenging can be planning and preparing family meals. Life is hectic. Restaurants and convenience foods beckon between soccer practice, meetings and homework.

But it doesn’t have to be that way .

I’d like to encourage you to slow down, prepare a delicious meal and enjoy a glass of wine with it.

“Well,  how do I do that?”  you ask.

Simple. I’ve got you covered. Even if you aren’t sure what wines you like.

My blogger friend Jessica Fisher, who blogs at Good Cheap Eats and Life as Mom, has a new cookbook coming out which will help your dinners get so much better. Jessica uses simple ingredients and simple techniques to make delicious meals in a short amount of time for not a lot of money. (Fortunately, I’ve been able to experience this in her house live while visiting with her and her family. :) )

She is sharing some of her very best recipes in the soon-to-be-released cookbook, Good Cheap Eats: Everyday Dinners and Fantastic Feasts for $10 or Less.

What about the wine?

Jessica asked me to work with my team at Wine4.Me to pair several easy to find, inexpensive wines with nearly every meal in the book. So, of course, I did.

And we put all of these wine parings into an ebooklet, Wine4Me pairs up with Good Cheap Eats, which YOU can download for FREE. The ebooklet lists lots of wines for you to pair simply and easily. We even give you a few options with each meal so you aren’t stuck with just one choice.

Of course all of the wines in the ebooklet are also in the free  Wine4.Me app, so you can consult the wine and food pairing section of the app  to see which wines we suggest would be ideal for YOU, personally.

(And, by the way,  just this morning I saw many of those wines on the shelf at my neighborhood Wal-Mart. I told you we selected affordable wines!)

Like I said, all of these wine pairings are in the FREE  ebooklet for easy reference and shopping, but that’s not all! I also added great tips for serving, storing and enjoying wine. So even if you are new to wine, I’ve got you covered.

Sound interesting and helpful? Wondering how to get your copy?

Since the ebooklet is a companion to the cookbook, you can only get a copy by pre-ordering Jessica’s Good Cheap Eats, provided you pre-order the cookbook and request your copy of the ebooklet by next Tuesday, September 2.

( I know. That’s fast. And we have a holiday weekend coming up which is sure to distract you.)

Are you ready to make family meals more delicious?

Jessica and I are ready to help.

Click over and check this out on Good Cheap Eats right now. You’ll be glad you did. And your husband might thank you, too.

  1. No problem. I haven’t tried any yet, but I do have a botlte of the 2008 Cave de Pomerols Picpoul de Pinet and the 2007 Altovinum Evodia Old Vines Garnacha that I need to drink though. Very excited to see how they are. Thanks again for the great recommendations.
