Psalm 26: I like to hang out with Him

bible-study-post

Today’s reading was a bit humbling and yet comforting.

I do NOT see myself as sinless and yet, with Christ, I am.

He washes away my sins… which is a really big deal. Even in considering that, I couldn’t pick a verse that talks about being blameless. That was too much. But this one I felt I could own today and always…

Here’s what I heard in Psalm 26 using SOAP:

Scripture:

Psalm 26:8

Lord, I love the house where you live

the place where your glory dwells.

Observation:

I love to be in your presence, Lord.

Application:

I do love to spend time with Him. I love to read His word, think about it, and listen to what He has to share. I am thankful for Christ who sanctifies me and creates that bridge so I can spend time in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

I love starting my mornings with Him and I love what He has to share.

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for allowing me to hang out with you, listen to you and hear what you have to say to me. It humbles me that you listen to each and every one of us who call out to you, and that I am one of those. I am yours.

Thank you for calling me to spend time with you every morning. Thank you for guiding me to follow up on that commitment. This time with you in the morning sets the pace for time with you throughout the day and I love that.

Thank you.

Amen.
