Psalm 3: He’s my shield and refresher

bible-study-post

Good morning! I’m in the Pacific time zone today, so my post is going up a tad later than is typical.

I’m traveling for business and have some very encouraging meetings lined up for today and tomorrow.

I decided to check out Psalm 3 today and it had some great reassurance for me.

Here’s what I heard in Psalm 3:

Scripture: Psalm 3: 3

But you, O Lord, are a shield about me,

my glory, and the lifter of my head.

Observation:

God protects me in the storm. Knowing that keeps my spirits up.

Application:

The rest of this Psalm talks about all those enemies around the Psalmist. This is the refreshment within.

I have felt weary as a mom and as a business owner. Over the past few days, though, the storm seems to have broken in a few areas. The sunshine is coming out… And it feels GREAT!

He has been my shield and has kept me going when I was weary. He has lifted my head up when I was trudging along.

I am ever so grateful.

Prayer:

Oh, Heavenly Father, thank you for your constant love and grace. Thank you for being here with me now and always. Thank you for giving me strength and encouragement when I needed it. Thank you for being a shield, my glory, and the lifter of my head. You are wildly amazing. Thank you.

In your Son’s name I pray,

Amen.
