Psalm 4: He will give me peace

bible-study-post

Good morning. I’m still in California for a few more meetings later today. Yesterday’s meetings were very insightful and I can only imagine today’s will be, as well. It’s been fantastic to see the advisors God has placed in my life. They have come after a lot of hard work. Getting here has been absolutely worth the struggle. That being said, I’m also looking forward to returning home to my family tonight.  All this hard work is great… family time is sure great, too.

This morning I read Psalms 3.

Here’s what stood out to me using SOAP:

Scripture: Psalm 4:8

In peace I will both lie down and sleep,

for you, alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Observation:

True peace comes from God.

Application:

Things can be rocky and frustrating and the stress from that can eat into my sleep and peace. I need to remember that He has me. Provided I am seeking, listening and following, He will guide me. That guidance will take me to the right places for the master plan. The master plan may not be understood by me, but it is by Him. I should trust in Him always and find peace in knowing He has my best at heart.

Prayer:

Lord,

Thank you so much for your guidance. Thank you for reminding me that I can rest in you. You have me. You will guide me. All I need to do is listen and use the gifts you gave me.

Please remind me of this verse when I feel stress moving in and need solace. True peace comes from trust in you.

Thank you, Father.
