Psalm 34: I Boast in Him

bible-study-post

I’m back home for the day, flying again tonight. Things were busy before, but since the big IBM Watson announcement, things have really been exciting! Tonight I fly to London for a few days of meetings there.

So, how did all of this come about for my startup?

I owe it all to Him.

Today’s Psalm rings true to me.

Here’s what I heard in Psalm 34 using SOAP:

Scripture: Psalm 34:2

My soul makes its boast in the Lord;

let the humble hear and be glad.

Observation:

From the deepest part of me, I recognize and thank Him for his gifts. It is because of Him, and not me alone, that my life is as it is.

Application:

I recognize from where the good is coming in my life: it is all from Him. I want people to know that. So many opportunities have been placed in my path, thanks to Him. He prepared me for where I am now, and is still preparing me for what is to come, I have no doubt. It really is because of his master plan, which I certainly didn’t see years ago, that I am exactly where I am right now. Looking back and seeing the steps he enabled me to take, and the experiences he guided me to, have lead right up to what is  happening now. I am going to boast in the Lord, for he is amazing! I think about all the gifts he has shared with me and cannot help but to have a heart that is overwhelmed with joy. He made me work. He allows me to celebrate. He is my guide. He is the one in charge.

Father, thank YOU for leading me right where I am and guiding my path. It amazes me how much you put in place for me. And, of course, I am in awe of what is ahead, even though I do not know what that is. Thats’s okay. You know. All I have to do is call out, listen and follow. Sure, there is a lot of hard work that comes in the follow, but, with your guidance, every bit of that is certainly worth it.

Thank you Lord. Thank you for your guidance, faithfulness and love. Thank you for the crazy awesomeness you are sharing with me.

I love you.

Amen.
