Psalms SOAP: Teach me your laws

Today’s Reading: Psalm 119: 72-128

Scripture: Psalm 119: 108

Accept, O Lord, the willing praise of my mouth,

and teach me your laws.

Observation: Please hear how much I love you and show me the right way to live.

Application: It is amazing to me that the Creator of the universe really cares what each and every single one of us has to say. And that He wants to hear from us. That, alone, is quite spectacular.

I do want Him to teach me His laws. That is why reading the entire Bible was a goal for me for many years before I finally did it using Bible in 90 Days. But just reading the entire Bible doesn’t mean I understand every word and follow everything it says.

I am constantly praying for better understanding and better application. I have questions and I slip, a lot. But I also do my best to learn and listen, and refine my behavior and heart.

I want to do better. I want to live the way He intends for me to live. I am so thankful He hears my cries for help as well as my shouts of praise.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the incredible amount of love you have shown me in so many ways.

Please, Lord, let me better hear your direction on what needs to get done. I want to live according to your law and so often I get pulled in so many directions I don’t know where to start. Guide me through the mish-mash of to-dos and options and enable me to live under your direction, not the world’s.

Thank you, Lord for your direction and love. And thank you for all you allow me and enable me to do.

Tomorrow’s Reading: Psalm 119:129-176

Monday’s Reading: Psalms 12-124
