SOAP: He’ll be there when I slip

Scripture: Matthew 14: 30

But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”

Observation: Peter, who was at first afraid, asked Jesus to let him walk on water  with Him  And  so he did, until Peter began to doubt what was happening. Then Peter began to sink until, again, he cried out for Jesus, who saved him.

Application: Jesus will allow you to do great things through your strong faith…  and will always be beside you, ready to help,  should you call out for Him.

Prayer: Lord, please guide me and forgive me when I slip… and then, please catch me when I begin to fall and don’t let me slip too far. Keep me close to you.
