SOAP: His grace IS enough

Hello there, friends! I regret missing you yesterday, but my brain was a bit jumbled and I just wasn’t even sure what to share. I’ve been feeling bad about it, and then today’s SOAP hit me…

Scripture

But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness." Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may reside in me.  --2 Corinthians 12:9

Observation

Paul has weaknesses. He makes mistakes (sins) repeatedly. And God’s grace though Jesus Christ covers over those.

Application

His grace is covers wrongs. I am not perfect. I need to stop pushing so hard and relish the grace. I need to soak in THAT, not relish streaks or somewhat perfection or worldly expectations…. grace, love, kindness, forgiveness, salvation.

Prayer

Thank you. Lord, for your love, your unending love, no matter what I do, no matter what I don’t do. Your grace IS sufficient for the ultimate prize.

Help me to remember that when I am pushing, when I am shooting for goals that are not important, or working towards them in ways that are silly, pointless or don’t honor you. Help me to remember that when I am battling satan and lose a round. You win the in the end. With you, I have grace and I am so thankful for that.
