Transporting birthday goodies

We hosted my son’s last birthday party at a birthday party venue.

Knowing that I would have to get to transport gifts home of different shapes and sizes, I carried a large plastic bin to the party for carrying most of the gifts home.

In taking it to the party, I filled it with consumables: plates, napkins, cups, food, favors and the like and put the lid on it.

By carrying all of those things in a box with a lid, I could stack things on top (unlike bags which tend to fall over and spill out in my car) and I could use the box to corral the goodies as he opened them, keeping anything from getting lost.

The big box also made it much easier to carry everything to the car.

And when we got home, the birthday boy had a blast going back through the box again. Plus the toys had a temporary almost-mess-free home until they found their permanent spots in the house.

Using the bin I already had at home for easy party transportation totally worked for me!

  1. OOh! I really like this idea…boxes work so much better than bags.
