Where am I sharing truth?

Scripture: Luke 5: 31-32

31Jesus answered them, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor-sick people do. 32I have come to call sinners to turn from their sins, not to spend my time with those who think they are already good enough.”

Observation: Jesus spent time with those who he knew needed healing, not just those regarded as “acceptable” in society.

Application: How much of my ministry is to those who already understand the truth? And then again, how much is it to those who think they do, yet need a little more prodding? And how can I reach out to those who haven’t heard the truth?

Prayer: Lord, use me and use all your believers to share the truth to those who need to hear it. Show us the paths to take and nudge us along so that we can truly be your disciples, and not just keep it safe, sharing your word with those who already believe.

Thank you for revealing yourself to me. Please guide me in stepping aside and letting you use me as your instrument.

  1. I had a conversation about this with my hubby just the other day. I told him how I felt kinda lousy because only Christians read my blog and that I wasn’t really doing anything. He told me not to get discouraged because believers still need the encouragement too and that if the Lord has given me a ministry not to discredit it because I don’t think it’s reaching the “right” people. On the flip side however, we should minister to all by the love of Christ in us and the witness of our lives.
