Yikes! Twitter is down!

As if all the craziness with my comment system wasn’t enough, now Twitter just stopped during our Twitter party.

Ladies, we cannot let this stop us!

I loved reading your tips, hearing about why you are reading and more.

Let’s not let this tecnical glitch stop us!!

Leave a comment telling us how you will overcome temptation and not give up.

How are you going to be sure to be a finisher come Ocober8?

  1. I’m using the YouVersion Bible App on my phone! These past two days have worked out great, I read a little in the morning with my coffee and then I read throughout the day: at swim lessons, while the kids play at the park, even during snack times and nap time, it’s been great!

  2. I am putting this first on my priority for the day – that is one way to make sure it happens. Even when the alarm goes off early…..I must overcome the temptation to stay in bed a little longer – I know I will regret that later in the day as I struggle to find a moment to read – HA!

I’m doing my reading in the morning before I start to work (I’m a writer) so the biggest thing for me is not to check out Facebook, read email, or do any of the other things which the Internet can provide as a distraction before I start my day.

I’ve also determined if I DO get distracted and have to come back to my reading later in the day I don’t want to get bogged down into a legalistic mindset for B90. I want this 90 days to be a joy as I read the Bible, because I’ve discovered in the past when I make reading scripture into something I “have” to do it becomes harder to “want” to do it.

  4. Recognize we are in a battle with our flesh and our enemy, neither of which want us to succeed.
I want to learn to crucify the flesh & denying myself is one way to do that. There are no excuses. :) Besides, I love the connection I have with God when I remain steadfast in His word. It brings a peace and joy like nothing else. Who wouldn’t want that?!

Reading with my daughter in law who is due the middle of Oct with her second son!

  6. Overcome temptation and not give up…commit, love it, love this journey, I am being washed by God’s Word each day when I read, cleansed. So make it exciting and look forward to it, if distractions come, be determined and pray pray pray! Do not commit to other things like women’s Bible study or things that need extra quiet time at home during this 90 days, enjoy fellowship things and fun but nothing more structured. Excited, God guide us :)

    1. You’ve got some great tips. B90Days is my only study during B90 days, too.
