A quick check-in

I feel as though I’ve been away from MomsToolbox for so long and it has only been a few days.

I’m sorry I haven’t posted any SOAP since Saturday before the ride. I am hoping to be back on track tomorrow morning. I have been reading, just not getting up in time to also post before getting the kids up.

I have been so tired all week… I think I am feeling the exhaustion from the ride. I am so thankful I didn’t feel it last weekend, though. I still cannot believe how fast I cycled. I typically ride at about 15 miles an hour. I averaged about 17-18 mph each day of the MS 150. I’m telling you, sweet readers, your prayers made a HUGE difference!! It was incredible!

My ride was a great mind-clearing, prayer time and I think I heard God telling me to take a better look at my time and how I spend it.

Blogging and Tweeting during the first Blogging Through the Bible in 90 Days took a lot of time, effort and love. And now, for the next few months, I will continue to blog, posting SOAP and other things, but I will also try to not blog while my children or husband are around. I’m going to try to only hop online while the kids are at school, play dates elsewhere, or fast asleep. And I don’t want to be online when my husband is around, either. Even if he is just watching TV, I’m going to hang out with him then, too.

Don’t worry. I don’t plan to stop posting. I’ll still be here. I’ve been posting my SOAP’s for nearly two years and I have no plans to stop that. And I’ll be back in full force for the next Blogging Through the Bible in 90 Days which begins July 5, so get ready!

By the way,  I’m still working on the Real (Experienced) Moms feature which kicks off just before Mother’s Day. It is my hope it will open up some great cross-generational conversations.

Just thought I’d check in, my friends, and let you know I’ve been thinking of you. Now it’s off to dreamland for me for the night.

  3. I completely agree and that online schedule is what I employ the majority of the time. That way when I need to be part of something in the evening, or an online friend is in need my being online in the evening is the exception not the rule and my family is less resentful. It took God awhile to get me to that point but my family and I have been blessed because of it.

    Love you girl!
