B 90 Days SOAP: A good name is more desirable than great riches

Day 47 of the Bible in 90 Days

Scripture: Proverbs 22: 1

A good name is more desirable than great riches;

to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.

Observation: A true reputation of wisdom is more meaningful and more valuable than monetary wealth.

Application: This can be applied in so many ways.

Be sure what you do you do for the right reasons and not just for money or things that might lead to more money.

Strive for excellence. Listen to the Holy Spirit’s nudges.. and follow them. He won’t lead you astray.

Prayer: Lord, someone must really need to read this today or you wouldn’t had had me mull it over for the past 6 hours.

If there is someone in particular who is struggling and I can help, please send him or her this way. Help us all to serve you and seek your wisdom first.

I want to serve you, Lord, and have a good name. I want my motives to be pure always.

I want to write and share only what you want me to share. Please guide me in that, Lord, and keep me on your path alone.

  3. yes, but what do you do when you have already SHREDDED God’s good name and your reputation at your workplace? I feel like I have lost my temper and been so insecure and such a neurotic mess in front of my co-workers that I will NEVER be able to have any kind of witness for God here. I’m getting better, but they still treat me based on my old behaviors. And sometimes I do fall back into that. It’s a mess.
