Bible in 90 Days… Are YOU in?

Over the past few days I’ve been honored to host posts from a few ladies explaining why they are taking on the 90 day challenge and reading the Bible in 90 days along with me, and hopefully you, too, beginning January 1 and ending March 31, just a few days before Easter.

Fortunately, many more of you have committed yourself to the challenge than posts I have published.

I would love to offer up this chance for you to share with the rest of us.

If you are a blogger, I’d like to encourage you to post on your own blog why you are planning to read the Bible, all of it, in 90 days, as part of our online reading community.

Then link up here to your post (not your homepage) so we can begin to get to know each other and start the encouragement before the reading even begins.

Please also include a link to this page in your post so your readers can see what others have to say, and maybe be encouraged to join the challenge.

For those of you who are not bloggers, perhaps you can leave us a message in the comments as to why you are in or how you reached the decision to join. I’d love to read about it.

You are open to link to this post all week, but those linked up or leaving comments by 8 a.m.CST Wednesday morning, December 23, by 3:30 p.m. CST Wednesday afternoon, December 23, will be entered to win a free Bible in 90 Days Bible and Participant’s Guide. You will receive one entry for a comment or link explaining why you are in. Only those with US mailing addresses are eligible to win. The Bible and Participant’s Guide are courtesy of Bible in 90 Days.org, whom I asked if I could create this promotion.

The winner will be announced Wednesday morning at which time I’ll contact the winner by email.

Reading the Bible in 90 days is truly an amazing experience. I will be honest and say that it is not an easy challenge. It takes planning, time, dedication and lots and lots of reading. I’m so excited with every email and comment I receive telling me who is in.

I can’t wait to begin with you and pray for your journey.

Sooooo… Who is in?

The Contest is now closed. Please feel free to continue linking and commenting, but the last entrants were link 21 and comment 35.

  3. I am in….just found your site and just ordered the 90 Days Bible….VERY excited to take this challenge.

  4. I am in! And nervous…. I have never yet managed to read the whole Bible through from cover to cover, despite a good effort a couple of times. I have 4 children aged 5 and under and don’t see how I will find the time, but this is more important than surfing the web and blogging, so I think that will be set aside somewhat to fit this in. I’m excited! I will be using my NIV Bible.

  5. I’m in too…I really want to make it a priority to know the Lord better this year and really understand what He wants for me and my family…thanks for hosting :)

  6. OK, I’m in! This is a daunting idea to me, I’ve never even read through the Bible in one year! But I am willing to give it a try!!

  7. I am in! Bought all three books recommended and looking forward to finally reading the WHOLE Bible, like many others I have started many times and never finished. I have a one month old, so I plan on reading while nursing (instead of being on the web/google reader!)

  8. I look forward to finally reading the entire Bible! I am trying to raise my children to follow Christ and I know that by reading his word, I will be better equiped! Thanks for this opportunity! http://bbpartygirl.blogspot.com/2009/12/read-bible-in-90-days-what.html

  9. I am so excited about this! Slightly apprehensive, but ready. Spread the word to a bunch of gals at church and will hopefully have a few climb on board with me. The best part? My husband is going to take up the challenge with me!

  28. Can’t wait. I was going to do it in a year for 2010,so I’m a little nervous doing it in 90 days. There are a couple of my friends doing it so we are going to keep ourselves in check.

  29. I have tried to read the entire Bible on many occassions, but have been unsuccessful. I am excited about this program and know I will succeed this time.

  30. I’ve always wanted to read the Bible, but I’ve never made it the whole way through. Can’t wait to try it!

  31. I’m in! Can’t wait. I just wish I understood Twitter! :(

  32. I have been wanting to sign up since I couldn’t find my Bible. I’ve owned this copy now for a couple years. I just found it tonight & just signed up. I am very much looking forward to this challenge AND the accountability of it! ;-)

  33. I am signing on to do the challenge.

  34. I am certainly willing to try to do this. I’m excited to see where the journey will take me!!

  35. I have been afraid to commit until now, but I am really feeling led to do this. I have struggled to keep my daily quiet time consistent each day, so I have been reluctant to tackle something this intense, but I really feel this is what I need in my relationship with God, and I hope that having so many others out there experiencing this journey with me will help me to keep at it. Thank you for bringing us all together in this.

  36. I am taking the challenge with my son who has autism. He chooses to listen to the Catholic radio station when he can’t speak a full senence. He is one of my best teachers. I know we both will enjoy when I read out loud daily to him right before his bedtime! Thank you for helping to guide us in the correct manner on the “how – to’s”. I am probably going to choose a junior Bible for reading for greater understanding for us both! Any ideas? Thank you again! Sue and Danny

  37. I am in and so is my husband! Looking forward to it!

  38. I am in Yeah!!!

  39. I’m taking the challenge! I have never read the entire Bible. I’ve started trying to read the Bible in a year, but I always give up. I’m excited about having to be accountable & having some support & encouragement!

  41. O.K. I’m going to give this a try. I, too, am afraid I may not complete it, but I truly want to. Hoping that having some accountability here will help! Thanks.

  42. I’m in! Picked up a bible today and can’t wait to start. I’m almost finished with my bible in a year, it will be so much fun to start it over and go thru at a quicker pace.

  43. Okay – I’m in. I’m having my second baby on March 22 (at 11am, thanks to the miracles of modern medicine!), and what better way to prepare for the birth than saturate my days with scripture. I may make a jump-start in order to finish before the birth (or give myself a day off FOR the birth:). Glad to be following along with the community (and also on Twitter…me= @wholelivinggal). Thanks for the challenge!

  44. I’m joining in! Thanks for coordinating this!

  45. I’m in. I think it will be awesome.
