90-Day Bible Reading Plan for Kids

Don’t want your younger readers to be left out of the fun of reading the Bible in 90 Days?

While  you are reading the entire Bible, cover to cover in 90 Days, along with the MomsToolbox community beginning July 11, why not encourage your kids to do some reading of their own? Yes, we have had younger readers complete the whole-Bible challenge in 90 days, but for those not ready for that, we also have an abbreviated, 90-day reading plan.

This plan does NOT cover the entire Bible, instead it is a survey of the Bible.

For those who would like to join in or encourage your kids to join in, please do. In addition to establishing a great habit and allowing your children to explore the Word on their own, it will also give your younger readers something fantastic to do while you do your own reading.

I will  post each day’s reading assignment alongside the full reading plan, so that you can stay on track with whichever plan you would like to follow.

The SOAP devotionals will apply to the full reading schedule.

Accountability groups and check ins will apply only to those following the full reading plan. However, I will post a list of the kids who complete all of the reading of the 90-Day Bible Reading Plan for Kids at the end of the 90 days.

Parents: I’ll count on you to keep track of their progress and report in at the end.

So, kids… wanna join us? Have your mom or dad leave a note in the comments.

Then start with us on July 11.

I’m loving this for my daycare kids (ages 8, 6, 4, 2) They aren’t able to actually read the bible, but I have the children’s bible on dvd and this is a great addition to our day! The children’s bible is abbreviated, but pretty close to right on!

My oldest son will begin the kids’ reading upon his return from camp, beginning Saturday evening. I’m hoping he will be willing to read to the three younger children.

My 9 year old wants to join. Is there a comprehensive list of reading assignments so she can read ahead if desired?

    1. Carrie,
I read your comment and was confused for a minute wondering if I had commented and forgotten. I, too, have a 9 year old girl who is going to do the kid’s plan. hahahaha!

My son, Samuel and Steven will try to read the kids plan along as I’m doing the full version. I also wanted to ask if you have a print out for the kids version.

  13. This is great! I didn’t know this ahead of time, but when I saw the kids had chapter 1 today, I got my son to read his before bed tonight. Is there a plan that I can print, so I will know what the next day is?

I just don’t think I can do the regular B90, but I’m going to try the kids’ version and then next time I will do the adult version.

  21. What a wonderful idea! My kids think it is cool that I am doing the Bible in 90, yet I don’t think they can do the entire plan yet. This is a great to involve the family. My 3 oldest children would like to join in: Mattie Mae (12), Kinnon (11), and Aidan (8). Thanks

  23. My daughter (10 months) is not old enough obviously, but I have a hojme daycare and two girls that are 1st and 2nd grade! I think I’m going to try havingthem participate with me! Any one have any idaes for where I can find the chapters that I can print off on the internet ….maybe a kids versian of the bible?

  24. My boys are just coming back to town and haven’t had a chance to talk to them. They have been gone for nearly 2 weeks. I think this would be a great idea, I can get my nearly 2nd grader to read with me, and my almost 4th grader needs some structure. A chapter a day is a great place for them to start.

  30. My 8 year old Cash would like to join!!!

  31. I would love my 12 yr old son to join in on this. I would love for him to dig deeper into the Word alongside me. Thanks for offering this.

  32. This may be a little ambitious for my son Bennett who’s 6 but I’m hoping we can do it together each day. We’ll give it a go!
I love this idea by the way!!

  34. I’m going to encourage my boys (13 & 17) to do this. I’d love it if they’d do the full read through, but even I haven’t managed that one yet.

  35. I would like to encourage my kiddos to read along with me using this plan. They are 11. Thanks so much!

  39. My daughters Molly (13) and Baylee (10) will be joining. Thanks for doing this.

  40. My boys Cameron and Nathan will be joining the journey.

  41. My boys, Zachary (11) and Taylor (9) would like to follow along with the Reading Plan for Kids. Thanks!

  42. I was wondering if there will be a week of reading assignments at a time or if we will have to check in every day to get that days reading assignment? I had thought of mentioning it to my daughter’s sunday school teacher but I don’t know if they could do it if there isn’t a week of assignments at a time (unless they did it a week behind the group).

Either way, my daughter (11) wants to participate.

  44. The original B90Days plan is daunting to my 10yo but maybe this new “survey” plan is a good segue. We’re in! Thanks, Amy!

  45. My son (almost 8) has expressed some interest (although, who knows, really?!). I’d love to see a sample plan!

  46. My son (age 10) will be reading along with us. He really wants to do the big version, but I think he will start here. :)

    Hi,
My daughters Katie (12) and Morgan (10) and I would all like to join in!! Thank you for providing this opportunity.

  48. Yes!! My 9-year old is going to do this and I needed something a little less intense to start her off. Usually she reads a chapter a day. It’ll be nice to bump it up a notch since she is such a fluent reader for her age.

Thank you SO much!! This was an answer to prayer. :)

  49. Have you set up sign-ups for the July 11 Bible reading? I was unable to complete the 90-day readings back in the winter and would like to go at again.

  50. My daughter, Samantha (8), would like to join in!
