Bible in 90 Days Week 13/ Day 85 Check in

Oh my goodness! Can you believe today is Day 85 of the Bible in 90 Days??

And what an amazing 85 days it has been!

Seeing your finisher comments trickle in over the past few days has been incredibly exciting… please, keep ’em coming!

As you finish, please be sure to let me know by leaving a comment and/ or by sending me an email using the button at the top of my blog.  Also, please let me know if I may list you as a graduate, how you prefer to be listed and if you have a blog or Twitter page that you would like for me to link your name to on the list.

560 of you signed up to read with us. Unless I hear from you directly, I won’t  know if you finished with us (or close to us) and I would love to know how many do finish and who is still reading.

Plus, when you let me know you finish, I’ll use your contact information to get a hold of you and talk about finisher T-shirts (!!) and get your feedback on the program, if you are willing to share.

If you are close to finishing, keep it up! If you are far from finishing, think about what you can do to go all out and finish with us by Saturday, October 2.

If you feel like finishing on time is hopeless, please stay tuned, as I have plans for you, too.

I’ll host another check in THIS SATURDAY, Day 90 of the Bible in 90 Days.

Be sure to swing by and let us know how you are doing then, too.

Then, next Monday, October 5, I’ll host a blog party for our blogging readers to link up with a wrap up post about the experience. Everyone else is, of course, welcome to comment with their thoughts and experiences.

Whew! That’s a lot of information (but nothing like Numbers, though… right?)

If you are still with me, link up, comment away and let us know how you are doing and how we can pray for you. Then make plans to chat with other Bible in 90 Days readers tonight from 8-9 CST on Twitter using the #B90Days hashtag. It’s my husband’s birthday, so B90Days graduate Kimarie of The Cardamom’s Pod (@CardamomsPod) will be hosting. But I’ll pop in for a few tweets… I just cannot stay away!!

And, for an inspiring read, check out how an entire town read the Bible in 90 Days together.

Alright, now it’s your turn to share…

  1. Currently about a day behind… Must catch up. Really want to finish in time. Wednesday I have no evening plans and am hoping will be my catch-up, then stay up for the last few days!

  2. Just finished 1 Peter. Plan to finish tomorrow! This has been life changing for me! I am so greatful that God put it on you to host this, and that I was lead to your blog on the day that it started! I have grown alot in the last 6 months, and this has really been a big part of my growth. God bless You!

  3. 3 days behind. I am working to catch up and finish on time!

  4. I am so off schedule, so I took the days left and divided into the pages I have left, and I am diligently following that outline. Back to reading.

  5. I am a couple of days (through day 83) but intend to finish on time. My husband is gone for pre-deloyment training and I am adjusting to being the only parent at home again.

I will be able to finish day 94 before I go to bed tonight. There is so much of these passages I am looking forward to unpacking later. But mostly I am glad I have started something and I am finishing it and on time!! Thank you, Jesus, for the drive and courage to dive in and taste how good you are!

  7. I have a strong desire to be done! I have read through I Peter and I am going to try to squeeze in more before heading to bed tonight. I’m still in amazement that we are at the end. I’m excited to finish and yet a little sad it’s over. It was nice to have the schedule to follow. I wasn’t sure if it was going to feel too forced reading specific scriptures every day but it wasn’t. I can honestly say my life, my views, and my spiritual life has changed so much. Thank you Amy for hosting this.

  8. Hi Amy,
Still going strong! Excited that I am finally in the New Testament. :) YEAH! Only 235 pages left, and 5 days, so we are still under the 50 pages a day I have been reading. I am getting some car maintenance tomorrow too, and plan on sitting and reading while waiting for the car, so that’s an extra chunk of time :)
Still committed to finishing by Saturday!

  9. I am waaay behind. Life got hard with many details and my Bible reading fell to the wayside, unfortunately. I felt very uneasy about not finishing my reading of the Bible.

This past week, I have re-dedicated myself to finishing. I have read posts about those who were still able to finish even when they fell behind; encouraging. Stacey, my group leader, stated in an email that she was behind but was still able to finish; encouraging.

I started on Saturday on day 65 and I am now on day 75. How? I realized that I could listen to the Bible while driving to work and home (1 1/2 -2 hours), listen while I am cleaning my house, listen while I am relaxing, plus I have read during some quiet moments. At this pace, I am hoping that by Saturday I will be on Day 88. Whew…if I keep the pace. Not ideal. I did skip Isaiah and plan on reading that book throughout October, to study it as I have wanted to for the last 7 years. I will not be done with the whole Bible until sometime in October ( mid – late). Not as intended by the 90-Day Bible plan, but this will be my first time completely though the Bible, and I am okay with finishing a few weeks later.

  10. I am a couple of days behind, but will finish on time!!

I am caught up and super excited about the next few days and finishing this amazing goal.

  12. I have about 5 chapters to read to be caught up. I started the day completely on track, but have only had the chance to read about half of today’s reading thus far. I am getting ready to go finish as soon as I send this check-in note and send a couple of word documents to my work account for printing tomorrow (fun stuff!). :)

I cannot believe I have made it this far. I am so excited and proud of myself for sticking with this until the end! I am already beginning to think about which books I want to go back and really study in depth after I finish. This has definitely been life changing – I cannot imagine where I would be in my Christian walk right now if God hadn’t lead my to your website on Day 1 of the Bible in 90 Days challenge. I feel so much more comfortable with His word now and have found some amazing verses that will help me through the rest of my journey.

Bless you all! I look forward to sending you my FINAL email!

  13. I am still here. I am 3 days behind, hoping to catch up by Saturday.

  14. I’m behind and praying that I can finish on time. I feel like I’ve let God down. I should be able to keep a simple promise to read His word.

  15. I’m a touch behind but with the 2 “grace” days, I should still be finished in 90! I can’t believe it’s so close and I am looking forward to being a “graduate”! The Lord has really used what I have learned in unimaginable ways and I am so humbled by Him.

  16. I’m 2 days behind, but I WILL CATCH UP! I am loving this so very much! I’m determined to finish this in 88 days!!

I’m also praying about what is next for me. I have a desire to start a group at my church or my MOPS group, however I have really loved the online support and accountability you provide and think maybe I should just get everyone hooked up with you. I’m torn. Praying about it!

  17. I’m in 1 Thessalonians – close to finishing. considering I’m more than 15 days behind few weeks ago. :)
My brother is still reading in Matthew.

  18. FINISHED!!!!!

  19. I’m not quite caught up but close.

  20. I am in Acts but definitely plan on finishing by this weekend (yahoo for a 4+ hr, kid-free, car trip to make that last push).

  21. WooHoo! I am so excited to report that I finished reading Revelation on Saturday. Over the last few weeks I have taken a few extra minutes every day and slowly got ahead in the reading. What a great experience! Thank you!

  22. Hi! I blogged or mentioned about my Bible reading in my blog, but it’s not a total post devoted to B90 . . . but here is the link: http://www.granolamom4god.com/2010/09/simple-womans-daybook-4-waiting.html
My goal is no fiction until I have spent all the time in the Word finishing my goal!

  23. I’m behind still and am currently reading Acts. Praying for the time, energy and motivation to finish up despite what is going to be a pretty crazy week in our house. I hope I can celebrate with everyone this weekend and I am seriously thinking about joining up again in January (hopefully with a few friends!).

  24. So, I guess I can’t blame it on the prophets. ;) I’m 10 days behind. But, I have a plan… two readings a day and I’ll be done on Saturday, just as scheduled.

  25. Will finish today. :) Thanks amy for hosting. :)

I can not believe that this is coming to an end. I believe I will be finished tomorrow. The girl that was 10 days behind for the first 70 may just finish up early. I too feel like I am missing pieces, but this is the first read through I have done from beginning to end in a short period of time. I look forward to doing it again. Thank you so much for bringing me along.

  27. Finished on Friday. What a wonderful experience. Thanks for hosting.

I am still in Acts so I am a few days behind but I just finished a large project that was taking a lot of time and my internet is still out at home so I don’t have that taking up my time either. I am going all out this week and WILL FINISH!!!!!
I also finished memorizing Psalm 1 in Spanish and in English. I am working on it with a lady in my church and i think she is very encouraged to be doing it too. We were both able to quote the whole thing in Spanish yesterday but it wasn’t as smooth as I would like so I am going to keep working on it. Then i will regularly review it on Sundays to keep it fresh in my mind. We’re going to brush up on Psalm 23 and then I need to look for the next passage that we will work on. Any suggestions?

  29. How time flys! To be finished this Saturday!!! Rhonda Lee is accomplishing a goal that others may have thought of as impossible!!! Thank you Amy for ALL of your encouragement. I know that both Rhonda and I both will be with you again in Jan. We both can’t wait.

  30. Checking in. Still reading.

  31. I have read through Colossians!

  32. I just finished! This is my first time reading through the entire Bible, cover to cover. God is so good!

I’m hoping to be able to participate in January, and praying that my husband will try it again (but finish this time!). In the meantime, I am going to revisit a few books that I would like to study in more depth (Daniel and Romans, for sure).

Praying for those who are still reading!
    Stephanie

  33. So excited for all you! You are so close to the end!!!!!

  34. I’m only a couple of days behind. I WILL finish by Saturday, though!

    Blessings!
    Sharity

  35. I’m right on track to finish Thursday! Praise the Lord!

  36. I am halfway through day 78 right now and have a lot of catching up to do this week in order to finish on time. I know I can do it. I just need to have extra discipline and some late nights most likely.

  37. What is this about a t-shirt? :) I am on schedule to finish on Wednesday or earlier. I am also rounding up some people I know who want to try again if they didn’t finish, or read again before January. I will be starting next Monday. I thought that waiting until January may be too long if you didn’t finish…you know, lose steam. AS for me, I plan to keep this up. I will TRY to remember to tweet tonight, I missed last week :( I hope to send you my info in a few days, or sooner!!

  38. On track to finish Thursday! I can’t believe how much of the Bible I’ve read in such a short period of time. It’s kinda funny–Lately I’ve been thinking that reading the Bible in 90 days isn’t really that difficult of a challenge. Contrast this with my inability at the beginning of this program to read the Bible in a year and a half. Oh, what changes God has made in my life through this program!

Just finished my reading today!! Two more days and I will be finished. This has been a wonderful and rewarding experience.

  40. Hi Amy & Readers,

I excited to say I finished, even tho I almost gave up a few times.
If your still reading through the Bible please don’t give up.

Yes, Amy, you may list me as a graduate,
I prefer to be listed as Michelle.
    Please also add my blog
    (newhorizonreviews.blogspot.com)

Thank you so much for hosting this.
I look forward to finding out more about the T-shirt.

  41. I am on track and so excited. I can’t believe when I close the Bible Thursday I will have read it through. I have learned so much. Hoorah!!!!!

  42. I’m about a half day behind – a bad cold woke my little guy up from his nap WAY early yesterday. But I have faith that despite illness and exhaustion, God will provide time for me to finish on schedule. I’m so excited to have made it this far!

  43. I’m in the finishing by Oct 2 is a pretty lost cause. I’m still reading though. I’m still here!

  44. We’re pretty close to caught up. Probably will be after today.

I can’t believe we have less than a week to go!!

  45. I finished! I can’t believe that two weeks ago (today) I was starting Jeremiah 1. I finished Revelation yesterday evening. I did it! Such a big commitment for me. . .and the Lord allowed me to finish in 84 days! I am praising HIM today. . .

  46. Still behind! I’m getting closer, though. :-)

I’ve got to read Day 84 and 85. Traveling today so no reading til tonight. I’ll miss the tweet up tonight due to out-of-town dinner plans. And I’m really upset that I’ll miss next Monday’s tweet up b/c I’ll be on a plane. It was unavoidable. I’ve been blessed to have been home for most of the 90 days and now travel for work has picked up to fit it all in before the end of the year. Congrats to all the finishers so far! I’ll cross the line this week! A big THANK YOU to AMY!!!

  48. I’ve mapped out my schedule for the next few days so that I can finish on time. It’s not short but I am counting on God honoring my prayers to supply time for me to finish. Can’t wait to celebrate Saturday!!

  49. Still on track! I can’t wait to get done. Reading the NT so fast is hard – I feel like I’m missing everything because it’s so deep! Still, I’m on track to finish on time. Whoo!!!!!

  50. I can’t believe we’re almost through! Can’t wait to see the t-shirts. :-) Now off to read about the whole town who read together…
