Daily Devotion: 31 Days in Proverbs: Day 1

Proverbs in 31 Days with MomsToolbox

I jumped back into the Proverbs last month, in the middle of the month, as I was craving devotional time with the Holy Spirit and was frustrated in finding the ‘perfect’ reading guide.

Now that a new month is before me, I’m starting at the beginning and will read one chapter of Proverbs a day through the end of August.

Some days I’ll SOAP through the reading and some days I will listen and take in the chapter as a whole. I’m going to try very hard the listen to God each day and follow his lead on how to approach the chapter.

Would you like to join me in reading the Proverbs this month?

It’s been quite awhile since I’ve committed to a monthly reading plan with you, and I know now is the time for me.

If you’d like to read along, please do. Grab a journal (paper or virtual) and record what you hear as you read… Or what you hear after you read. Either way, take some time to reflect after you’ve taken in the reading each day And, if you would, please let me know you are here alongside me reading. Leave a comment here and there on my posts so I know that you’re out there joining me. I’ll pray for all who I know are reading.

I’m looking forward to this month of reading the Proverbs with Him and with you.

Today’s reading:

Seeing as it is August 1, I’m reading Proverbs 1 today.

It’s been a great inspiration to jump in. I hope it inspires you, too.

In Him,

I definitely have felt the last day or two led to go through Proverbs and to listen to Him and His leading moment by moment each day. Seeing this was a confirmation to me. I will be joining you!

I will join you! Actually, I feel that the Holy Spirit has already spoken to me about this, not only for me but as a family devotional for the kids. We have never done a family devotional before and I think this will be perfect. I can’t wait to see what the Holy Spirit has in store for my family and myself!

    1. Amanda, I am thrilled for your family! I love that you are doing a family devotion together and pray that God guides each of you individually and as a group. Thanks for letting me know you’ll be with me. :)
