Earth Day recycled giveaway: Ranger Rick

Photobucket

Since it is Earth Day I thought I’d host a real recycling-type of giveaway: 8 already-loved, but still in excellent condition, issues of Ranger Rick, the National Wildlife Federation’s magazine for children.

Instead of something new, I’m keeping these perfectly good magazines from going to waste and sharing some love with your family.

Nope, this isn’t your regular giveaway of brand-new stuff, but I promise you will still enjoy the prize: 8 Ranger Rick issues from 2002. (I seem to be missing 4 months. Sorry.)

They are all in excellent condition and will probably be just as exciting as brand new magazines to your children. (These were actually hand-me-downs to my family from a Children’s Museum friend of mine. We loved ’em, now it is your turn.)

So, if you want ’em, you can enter three ways:

  1. Leave a comment about why you would like to win.
  2. Tweet about the giveaway and leave a comment telling me about your tweet.
  3. Host your own recycled giveaway on your own blog and link back to this one. And, of course, comment about it.

The contest is on until Saturday, April 25 at 11:59 p.m.

I’ll randomly choose a winner and report back to you on Sunday.

Happy Earth Day, everyone! Hope you like my share-the-love recycled giveaway! (And thanks for helping me de-clutter, too.)

I certainly hopes this Works for Me… and for you, too. :)

Check out We are THAT Family for more Works for Me Wednesday.

My boys would love these! What a neat idea.

  7. I adore these mags! I remember reading them as a kid and would love to share them with my son. I just can’t justify the expense in our budget for a subscription though. Even though I find tons of free subs, I have never found Ranger Rick among the offers.

My son is a real outdoorsy type and loves animals. We’d love to win the mags!

    :)

  8. oh my Ginny would love these! and frankly I would too. I never got to read Ranger Rick except at the library as a kid.

    oooo please pick me!

    hugs,
    Deirdre

  9. Ok Amy! I did a post for this giveaway on my blog! Thanks again!

  10. I LOVE the idea of a giveaway of gently loved items! I have a ton, almost literally, of already read magazines and other books I hate to throw away but haven’t made it to the thrift store. Great idea! I’d love to win this b/c my mom’s a teacher, and her reading material can get out of date. Teachers here have to use their salaries to buy classroom material so this would def. help her out.

  11. Cool giveaway idea. My son would enjoy reading these. Please enter me. Thanks!

  12. My kids (5, 3, 1) absolutely love animals. These magazines would be a treat. Thanks!

  13. Sure! I would love to win these magazines! Both of my sons would enjoy them! They are ages 5 and 3. :)
    Thanks for the opportunity!
    Happy Earth Day!
