I’m about to board the time machine

I love flying. I really do. Perhaps that is because I get to fly for fun and never for work (unless you count flying with the family as work.)
I just love anticipating the adventure ahead. I might just be the most cheerful person at the airport when I fly solo. I invite families to cut in front of me at the security checkpoints. I smile at everyone. I am filled with glee.
My husband once said that boarding an airplane is like getting into a time machine. You get in, sit down and they close the doors. When they open them again, you are in a new place, ready for new experiences and adventures.
Well, I’m about to board my next flight and jet off to Orlando for my high school reunion. I’m flying solo, ready to listen to good music, read a good book or just doze off for a few hours. And when the door opens, I’ll be in a new place, ready for new experiences and adventures and a lot reminiscing with old friends. I guess this time the time machine is taking me back in time.
I’m ready! Time machine, here I come!
