Proverbs in 31 Days: Day 27, Proverbs 27: Pay attention at home

Proverbs in 31 Days with MomsToolbox
If you are reading with me, today we are on Proverbs 27. (Remembering what to read in the Proverbs is as easy as remembering the day’s date when you read them with me.) That being said:

Today’s Reading: Proverbs 27

Using the SOAP devotional method, here’s what I heard this time…

Scripture: Proverbs 27:23

Know well the condition of your flocks

And give attention to your herds

Observation:

Pay attention to what is important.

Application:

For this means that I need to be sure to stay in touch with my kids. Business travel keeps me away from home more often than I’d like. In this season, I need to be sure to stay connected at home.

Prayer:

Lord, please guide me here. Show me ways to connect. Help me to reach out and show love to my kids as I’m on the go. You have blessed me with some great kids. Thank you. Please help me to express to them what a blessing they are, and also hear their joys and struggles in the meaningful ways you intend. Guide me in guiding them. I could sure use your help. I love you.

S – v9 – Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of a friend springs from their heartfelt advise.

O – Godly women who want the best for you, their advise should be taken as a treasure. It is a joy.

A – A dear friend of mine who has been walking with the Lord much longer than I was an answer to a prayer. I cried out to the Lord for a mentor and she has been the answer to that prayer. Her Godly wisdom has been so valuable. I never want to be resentful of the advise that she shares. I am truly blessed for our friendship.

P – Lord, Thank you for my friend Angel. She really is an answer to my prayer. Her wisdom is more valuable than rubies. Let me never forget that her advice is to help and never to be resentful. Amen.
