Good morning from Charlotte, North Carolina. I’m here as a sponsor and presenter at Digital CoLab via Wine4.Me.
The last 24 hours have held a lot of excitement for me that I will be able to share with you soon. It’s been a blast to see God’s provision and today’s verse rang so very, very true. He’s the one who has brought the blessings and He is the one who can keep me calm when things get crazy. But I am getting ahead of myself.
Here is what I heard in Psalm 16, using the SOAP method:
Scripture: Psalm 16: 8
I have set the Lord always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.
With Him guiding me, I can stay the course.
I have had a lot of extra demands on me lately. These demands, though, are the result of hard work and the beginnings and fruits of some incredible opportunities.
If you’ve been reading with me awhile, you know my commitment to listening to Him, and the commitment I began August 1 to spend time with Him before diving into ANYTHING each morning.
He has guided me in those times and then throughout each day.
He has comforted me in frustration. He has encouraged me on my course of action. He has helped me see more clearly what that course of action should be.
When I slow down and listen to Him, he keeps me on the right path. He keeps me from getting shaken.
This realization this morning is so comforting to me. The reminder makes it clear that not only should I seek Him in the morning, and ponder His word throughout the day, but when I get flustered and shaken, I need to stop, seek and listen to Him and not be shaken.
(I cannot help it, I have to add this: “Stop, Collaborate and LISTEN….” anyone here a song from the ’80s in there?)
You continue to amaze me, Lord.
This entire Psalm spoke such beautiful truth to me.
Thank you for your commitment to me. Thank you for your love of me. Thank you for keeping me calm and for guiding me. You have shown me some amazing things and guided me to some pretty fantastic opportunities. Thank you.
Thank you for this reminder that you are always right here, ready to keep me calm.
I now I have the potential for rocky times ahead. Please, Lord, continue to stay with me. Continue to guide me, please. I love your guidance. It’s absolutely the best.
In your son’s precious name I pray,
