Psalm 37: Commit to Him and trust

bible-study-post

I found all of Psalm 37 to be beautiful as I can see it in my life. I certainly hope you embrace it as well. There is so much beautiful truth there.

This is what really grabbed me in Psalm 37 using SOAP:
Scripture: Psalm 37: 5

Commit your way to the Lord:

trust in him, and he will act.

Observation:

Talk to God about your plans, follow him, and listen to his guidance. He will be lead you.

Application:

I have found this to be amazingly true. When I truly present my questions to him and listen, really putting my life in his hands, He leads. And He leads in some pretty cool ways.

I have worked so hard and put up with a lot of frustration to get to exactly where I am in my business.  I have remained faithful to Him and asked His guidance. And it is clear that He is guiding me. I am right where I am because of Him and his leading. I am not saying that if you trust in him you are going to make a lot of money and be hugely successful (for the record, my company has yet to turn revenue), but what I am saying is that if you commit your plans to him and really listen to his guidance and follow it, you will see him daily and he will not lead you astray.

I have him to thank for where I am. I have him to thank for the training experiences in my past. I have him to thank for what lies ahead.

Commit your way to the Lord. Ask him for guidance. Follow that guidance. And blessings are sure to follow. As those blessings happen, recognize that those are from him and thank him. And then just giggle in his awesomeness. I do it all of the time, and it’s pretty fantastic.

Prayer:

Lord, you amaze me with your love and faithfulness every single day. Thank you for standing by me and guiding me. Thank you for loving me and listening to my pleas and requests… and my giggles of thanksgiving. You blow me away with your love so often. I love looking back and seeing how you have been with me all along and I love looking forward, wondering what new adventures are in store.

Please continue to stay with me. Thank you for this reassurance that you will stay with those who call out to you.

I love you. I am amazed by you.

Thank you.

Amen.
