Recipe call for help

I’m searching for an easy, no-fail turkey barbecue sandwich/ sloppy joe-like option to serve via the crockpot this weekend. Anyone have any ideas? (I’m trying to go healthier by using turkey. But I still want it to be yummy.)
PLEASE comment or email any ideas you might have… I could sure use them!
(And if you are a real-life, in-person, in-town friend, please don’t be offended that you haven’t received an invite to a party… It’s a shindig for my husband’s team at work.)

  1. My suggestion would be do up what I call sloppy chicken joes/chicken stew sandwiches. You can sub turkey. It doesn’t use bbq sauce.

If you want a recipe that uses bbq sauce, then I would go with this…http://glimpseofsonshine.blogspot.com/2007/09/easy-bq-pork-sandwiches.html and sub the pork for the turkey or chicken.

If you are wanting to do something up with ground turkey then my suggestion would be to do this…1 lb browned ground meat, 1 can tomato soup, 1/2 can water, 1-2 tsp. chili powder, 1 tsp. garlic powder, 1-2 tbsp. dry minced onion, 1 tsp. prepared yellow mustard. Mix altogether. Simmer. You can do this on the stovetop or in the crockpot. For the crockpot, I would brown the meat in a skillet and drain it. Put it in the crockpot with the rest of the ingredients and simmer on low for 4-6 hours. :)

    HTH!! :)
