Scripture: Psalm 41:1
Blessed is he who has regard for the weak;
The Lord delivers him in times of trouble.
Observation: God will help those who also help those who need it.
Application: The chapter of The Power of a Praying Wife I read and prayed today discusses prayers for your husband in terms of finances.
I am blessed in that my husband is very responsible in terms of finances and that we are like-minded.
This verse stuck out to me because my husband is extremely generous and I really admire that in him. I think it is good to be generous and help when needed and it is reassuring to read that God feels the same way.
Prayer: Lord, thank you for selecting a life partner for me who is so generous and also fiscally responsible. Thank you for guiding us to see eye to eye on money matters… I can only imagine the stress we might feel if we did not.
Please continue to guide G’s efforts in earning and growing our finances and continue showing us ways we can help others. If our current giving is not pleasing to you, please show us the changes to make so that we can be honoring to you.
Thank you, Lord for the opportunity to bless others through your gifts.
