SOAP: We are His sanctuaries!

Good morning, friends! Oh, how I have missed posting on a regular basis! I keep hearing instruction to post my SOAP devos on a more regular basis and plan to get back on track very soon. I am praying about what my reading schedule should be so that I can share it with you, as well.  Would you please join me in praying that I hear clearly what my next reading and posting scheule should be? I would truly appreciate it!

In the meantime, here’s a little SOAP for today..

Scripture:

They are to make a sanctuary for me so that I may dwell among them.

–Exodus 25:8

Observation:

In Exodus, God instructs Moses to create a physical sanctuary where God will rest while with them.  In the New Testament, though, the Holy Spirit descends on the disciples — of them becomes a sanctuary.

Application:

Each of us is to be a sanctuary. I am to be a sanctuary for the Holy Spirit to dwell in me, among us.

Prayer:

Father God, Thank you for being accessible to me.  I didn’t have to build a tabernacle and such physically. I just need to open my heart. Guide me in clearing out the clutter though so your truth is not hidden behind junk and instead takes over my entire presence.  I am yours. I want to be a sanctuary for your truth. I want you to dwell among me. Thank you for dwelling in me and around me. You are absolutely amazing!

Amen.
