Oh my goodness, y’all! We have been reading the Bible together every single day for quite some time now. Isn’t it AMAZING that Tuesday will mark 100 days of this? Wow! (I have booked some celebration time for you that day.)
I am so grateful to have you reading alongside me. It means so much more knowing that you are there reading with me, that we are in this together.
One day a few years ago, when I was in the thick of Bible in 90 Days, I was wearing a MomsToolbox Bible in 90 Days T’shirt while shopping in the grocery store. Someone stopped me to let me know she was reading with me!
Another time, I was at a wine conference half-way across the country and somehow the conversation moved to my blog and a woman there told me of a friend of hers that was reading the Bible in 90 Days. I asked the friend’s name, and, as it turned out, I knew exactly who her friend was as she was a frequent commenter who became one of our group mentors. I am still in contact with both of those ladies today.
Reading the Bible connects us, and that is beautiful… and I hope we recognize each other in eternity, if not before then.
What is more beautiful, though, is that we are reading and carrying His Word in our heart and, hopefully, this impacts our actions, our thoughts and how we live, listen and love.
Nope, I don’t expect any of us to be perfect in any of that… that’s why there is grace, mercy and why we need Jesus. And that is why I read the Bible daily, even though I have read it cover to cover a few times… and intend to do so many more times.
I hope you are hearing Him daily. I hope you hear his love, his encouragement, his grace and his delight in you every time you open the book… and every time you think about what you have read.
I’m honored to think of YOU as I read each day. Just knowing you are there, reading alongside me strengthens me. Thank you.
