Wow, Bible in 90 Days starts soon!

Bible in 90 Days starts soon

In just 4 more days we’ll all be opening our Bibles together and reading the first 16 chapters of Genesis as we launch into the Bible in 90 Days program here on MomsToolbox.

My excitement is growing and, judging from my email in-box and the notes on Twitter, you are, too!

I thought I’d answer a few of the questions I have been hearing:

I haven’t heard from my mentor yet? Am I signed up? When should I hear?

As I am beginning this post, 751 of you have signed up, which means each and every one of you will be placed in a mentored group, if you haven’t been already. A very sweet volunteer is making her way through the list several times each day, placing people into groups as she can. This is not an automated process, which means that you will not get an email right after you sign up. But you will get one once your mentor is able to send one to you. (You should get a confirmation note from Google on your screen just as you complete the sign up process, however.)

The mentors have been given the go-ahead to contact the readers in their groups. Please remember that each of our mentors is also a volunteer and they are juggling family time with serving. If you entered your email address correctly, they will contact you. Check your spam folder if you haven’t heard yet and sit tight. If you don’t hear from your mentor by  lunchtime on Friday (And you have already signed up), please feel free to use my contact button and send me a note and I’ll look into it for you.

Will everyone have a mentor?

We have a mentor team of 64 dedicated ladies who will be mentoring approximately 15 readers each. Once we hit our maximum in those groups, we will begin forming un-mentored accountability groups. Having a mentor will greatly increase your chances of success. If you are planning to read with us, do not delay in registering. Click over to the Bible in 90 Days sign up post, follow the link there, and sign up so you don’t miss out on a mentored spot.

What do I do on the first day (July 11)?

Two required things: Read and check in. And one extra bonus thing: Twitter party

Reading:

Open up your Bible and read the reading assignment for the day. Make it a point to start off strong and do not skip reading Day 1 for any reason. Carry your Bible with you everywhere until you have finished the reading.

I will post the day’s reading assignment and what I heard in the reading every day of the program. You can find out the reading assignment by downloading the Bible in 90 Days schedule, visiting MomsToolbox.com each day, or by following me on Twitter or liking me on Facebook. You might consider subscribing to MomsToolbox via email so that you get an email of each day’s post delivered to your inbox. That way you will have a constant reminder of what is happening.

Checking in:

Visit MomsToolbox.com, look for the week one check in post and follow the directions there to check in for the first time.

Optional Twitter Party:

You might also consider joining us on Twitter from 8-9 CST every Monday evening of the program. We will tweet about the reading, ask and answer questions, encourage each other and get to know each other. Use the #B90Days hashtag to join in the conversation.

Is this a study program? What do I do about my questions along the way?

This is NOT a study program. It is a reading program. You will have lots of questions along the way. Resist the urge to research them. Write them down if you must and move on. You might feel confused at the time, but you will be amazed at how much you will retain and remember once it is finished. Remember, you’ve got the Holy Spirit guiding you! (You did ask Him to help, right?)

Where else can I find information about the Bible in 90 Days program on MomsToolbox?

On the top of my site there is a link to a Bible in 90 Days page. You can find more FAQs there, as well as links to the reading, the blog button and lots more.

You can also follow this link to sign up for a daily encouragement email from the Bible in 90 Days ministry.

I hope this helps to answer your questions so you will be ready to read with us on Monday! If you have a question you cannot find the answer to here or on the Bible in 90 Days page, please leave a comment here and I’ll do my best to answer it.

Are you ready to read the WHOLE Bible with us??

  1. I wasn’t planning on joining you this time around since I did the Spring 2011 session, but out of the blue my husband asked when the next session begins, so now we both will be joining you!

    1. Fantastic! Are you both signed up?

  2. I just signed up – will I still be able to get in a mentored group? Just wondering. I’m planning to do it anyway. Also, I’m now following the blog. :)

    1. Yes, you will be in a mentored group. :)

Just found out about this. Is it too late to sign up? Will there be another session later?

    1. It’s not too late… but don’t delay in signing up as the mentored spots are almost all taken. :)

  4. Just thought would share this info, for anyone that might have a Nook. Barnes & Noble has the ebook version of Zondervan’s “Bible in 90 Days” for only $9.99 . Thats a great deal!

    1. Thanks for sharing that!
