B 90 Days Week7/ Day 43 Check in & Prayer Request

Greetings Blogging through the Bible in 90 Days/ Bible in 90 Days readers!

By the time you go to sleep tonight, you should have read through Psalms 108:13 or page 516 in the Bible in 90 Days Bible, to be caught up.

This week we will hit the half-way mark of our journey through the Bible in 90 days. How do you feel about that?

How has this reading impacted your life? How have you had to adjust to spend so much time with God? How do you plan to adjust more if you are behind in the reading?

It is my prayer for each of you that you have felt God moving mightily in your lives the last few weeks. I hope that you have heard Him speaking to you in a variety of ways and are learning a lot straight from Him.

Tonight on Twitter we will talk about last week’s reading (Nehemiah 13:15- Psalms 89:13), as well as about the program in general. Make plans to join us from 8-9 CST following the #B90Days hashtag.

Please pray for us tonight at 8p CST

Please try to pray for our group tonight at 8 CST. Set an alarm, leave out a sticky note… do something to remember and then join all of us in prayer about our fellow readers at 8 CST, if you can. Please pray for endurance for those reading and also that each reader clearly hears the Lord speaking to her or him.  Please pray that those reading continue reading the Word and do not fall away or get frustrated, but instead feel inspired and excited. (How amazing will it be to know that hundreds are praying, at the same time, for our journey through the Bible together!!)

Then we will talk about Esther, Job and the beginning of Psalms on Twitter with those who are ready to tweet.

Here are a few points to ponder to get ready for our Twitter meeting:

Esther

If you were Esther, do you think you would have had the courage to approach the king?

What qualities of Esther do you admire? Do you want to strive towards developing any of those in yourself?

The word “God” is not included in the pages of Esther. Why do you think it is included in the Bible?

Job

Job is thought to be the first book of the Bible to be written.

Do you see Job to be about suffering and patience or faith? Why?

How does God answer Job’s questions?

Psalms

Which of the Psalms really spoke to you in this reading?

Were there any Psalms that you read this week that were like ‘old friends’ to you? Which ones?

Comment, Link up and Meet up!

I hope that you can meet with us for our virtual study tonight on Twitter. It’s a great chance to connect with other readers for encouragement and discussion.

And I hope your discovery and reading is going well.

If you missed it last week, here is  a quick recap of what we have read in the Old Testament.

Link up, comment and let us know where you are in the reading… And don’t forget to pray for the group tonight.

‘See’ ya tonight!

  1. Sorry, I forgot to check in on Monday. I’m still reading. Used my second grace day but am going to try to get it back ;)

  2. I was almost ready to give up, but one of those cleaverly planted devotions from above has me pressing on! I am a day late on checking it, but I am going to work on catching up!

  3. I am reading on schedule as of today. In order to keep it that I way, I will be reading right after this check in. :-)

  4. im 2 days behind, but im gona catch up.

  5. I am still behind but am really trying to be caught up by tomorrow, since it’s the halfway mark. Would LOVE to be on track for the next half. Esther gripped me and it was really hard to move on from there. I desire to have that type of “humble” boldness.

I am right on track! Looking forward to being finished with Psalms, but I really liked Esther this week. I can’t wait to be over halfway at the end of next week :)

Last week/weekend was rough and I’m several days behind now. But if I don’t get caught up during this week, I know I’ll have time this weekend as I sit with my Dad. I always enjoy Psalms…many ‘old friends’ there.

  8. Still right on target! I love reading Psalms, this is round 2 and I am finding lots of verses that are popping at me. Why haven’t I ever read these before??? So glad that I am reading them now!

  9. well, I have found my weak spot and it is Psalms. Enjoyed Job and Esther – stories!! Not liking Psalms, too choppy I can’t get into it. I like the prayers but only find a nugget or two that I can get something out of. I have been reading only almost exclusively on my iphone but I did find Psalm 71, 73 and 78 to be really good for various reasons!! I decided to switch to my bible to read the rest of Psalms in hopes that this would help me drag thru it – amazing – Psalm 71, 73 and 78 have all kinds of notes and thoughts around them, like finding old friends. very cool. on track but not smooth, happy or enjoying it other then the above!! k

  10. I’m still here! I thought I was caught up last week but as it turns out I wasn’t paying very close attention cause I was a little behind last week and now still a little behind. Only a few days though so I know I can make it up. Made some great progress today cause I really felt convicted to do a good bit of reading before I watched any TV so…. Praying I can cross the half way mark this week with you all! Good job everyone!!!!!

I’m still a few days behind, but I hope to be fully caught up by Wednesday! I’m trying my best to just read, but I get worried that I read too quickly and am not allowing God to continue transforming my heart with His word. But maybe I’m underestimating God’s abilities…

Just finished my reading for today and I am still on track. Today was hard to find time – we started school today and were really busy. Hopefully, I will find a better time to read once we get into our school routine.

  13. Ack! I’m two days behind, but I’m loving reading Psalms. I really want to work hard to get ahead. I haven’t been ahead in a while, so that’s my goal this week! It’s exciting that we are almost halfway done. I’m already looking forward to doing this again!

  14. My wonderful husband had the kids all day Saturday, so I was able to spend a good chunk of it reading. I am still behind but I had, at one point, been 12 days behind! Now I’m only 4 (including today’s reading since I’ve not read for today yet). I’m still in tho’!!

  15. Still behind, but hangin’ in there! Going on a short vacation at the end of this week – hoping to find lots of time to read by the pool!

  16. I am on track, which on one hand considering I hurt my knee last monday is kind of impressive! It is also kind of annoying because I was working my way to a whole day ahead and fell apart in the record breaking heat and am now only on track.

But the big thing is that it is going well, and I feel like God is teaching me, and I am enjoying it, so it is all good.

  17. Still caught up! Thanks.

  18. Still working in todays reading. I tend to get behind on the weekends but catch up during the week

  19. Holding steady! We’re back from vacation almost a week and I’m still trying to get my groove back! Oy!

  20. about 4 days behind, not giving up though!

I forgot about the tweet up tonight! I’ve managed to stay on track with the reading all week, Praise the Lord! I’m even a little ahead today. I can’t believe I’ve read so much and it’s just making me want to read more. I’m so glad I found this group. I was late coming here tonight but I still took a moment to pray for all. May God bless you as you spend time in His Word!

  22. I am so enjoying the Psalms! It is making me want to paint scripture all over my new house! Still plugging away and enjoying it. But it is too late to blog about it!

  23. Almost forgot to check in! I was caught up, but I haven’t read today. Should have checked in this morning. LOL.

I’m sorry to say I’m behind:(. I am at Ps 103, so I plan on catching up tomorrow. This has been a very hard week for me and the reading has been both harder and even more important.

I am caught up and enjoying the journey. I am finding the differences between David’s, Asaph’s and Moses Psalms. I think it is also cool that I know who Asaph is and can appreciate the difference in the Psalms. Having read the Bible this far is the only way for me to be able to fully appreciate them. Thanks be to God for this ability.

  26. Still hanging in there and enjoying the time I spend reading His amazing words! I’m still behind but catching up at lightening speed! I have found it nearly impossible to read on work days. Working 12 hour shifts in a busy ICU and then coming home and being able to read and remember what I just read on the previous page is nearly impossible. But a few pages is better than none and I’ll be caught up in no time!

  27. A day behind but otherwise all is well. Am excited to hit the 1/2 way point on Wednesday!

  28. I am still 6 days behind. At least I’m not falling behind more. Weekends are tough to find the time to read. School starts next week, so I’m planning on getting up to date.

  29. I’ve finished through Saturday’s readings. If I don’t catch up on the rest tonight I’m sure I will tomorrow. I’m really enjoying the Psalms and look forward to reading more.

  30. Still here and caught up. Today was my first day back at school teaching and I am a little nervous about how being back into my busy routine will affect my keeping up. I just have to keep remembering “I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me!” Say a big prayer – this week will tell me a lot about how the last half of this challenge is going to be for me!

  31. I’m up to date for now but will probly fall behind a bit this week as I prepare for my sons birthday party this weekend. Hoping not to fall behind though!

  32. only one day behind! hoping to catch up very soon. :-)

  33. Hi all, I’m behind by a few days. I fell behind when we left for vacation on Friday. I won’t despair because I know I can finish up the readings and get back on track. I’ve been trying to read in the car as we’re driving around, but the sights of Myrtle Beach are distracting! I hope everyone has a good week and I’ll be praying for you all.

  34. I’m right on track and just finished today’s reading. I’m finding it more difficult to find motivation and time now that school has started up but I’m moving forward. Job and Psalm are difficult to read at such a fast pace and I’m think Proverbs will be the same.

  35. Still behind a little over a week but am committed to completing this. The kids go back to school in a couple of days and even though I will still have 2 little ones and one I am homeschooling at home. I have felt blessed while reading and am enjoying reading parts of the Bible that I have never read before.

I’m on schedule, just have to get this day’s reading done.

  37. To my great delight I am ahead of schedule. It took alot of work but so worth it. Given the fact that this time last week I was way behind. I could feel the prayers and encouragement of my husband, so to those of you who are behind…please don’t give up, it’s so worth it to hang in there.

Lost a little more ground in my reading this week, but know that I will finish in time. Hoping to be caught up by the end of next week! It is amazing the details of different people lives that I have often read/heard but am only now using to put together the complete “puzzle” of the scriptures.

A little behind, but hope to be caught up by tomorrow.

  40. I held steady this week. I didn’t gain any ground on the days that I’m behind but I didn’t loose ground either. Still hanging in here. My goal is to be caught by day 50.

I’m just starting Psalms today so I’m a bit behind due to back to back weekend “get-aways” with the family. I’m still totally committed and will try to get caught up by Wednesday for the halfway mark. I always enjoy the Psalms but even more so now that I know the “back story” of David and Solomon. The prayers have more meaning to me with a deeper understanding of David’s sin and repentance and Solomon’s love for the LORD. I’ll be praying for everyone who is participating in this worthy challenge!
Thanks for all your support and for our mentors!

Still two days ahead… although this was a much tougher week for me. I love the Psalms, have read them many times, but to read them straight through is hard. The words are so rich, I simply cannot absorb it all in one sitting. So my usual reading it all in the morning routine is switched off for a bit of reading several times a day. The great part of this switch up is that I end my day with some beautiful Words from the Bible.. and I sleep great!
Will be praying at 8 CST for all who are on this journey with me!

I am currently working on yesterday’s reading. The kids go back to school tomorrow so very hopeful I can get the reading in while they are gone!

  44. Still behind (Esther) but not giving up…way too important!!!

I’m reading day 43 right now and hope to be finished by 8pm to tweet. This is a great experience and I can’t wait for day 45 and the half way point. Wow! I’m almost half way through reading the bible!

I’m caught up :) I haven’t finished today’s yet but I will before bed. I’m really enjoying the Psalms and I think I would like to go back and study them more deeply after the B90days program is over. I’m SO excited to be hitting the halfway point this week and to be on top of things still. I am feeling God at work in my life more clearly and I am connecting more to sermons I’ve heard recently and just feel like the Bible is just generally making more sense overall. It’s really neat.

Just got back from a 12 day vacation and am 10 days behind in my readings. I tried reading while in the car and in the room at night but it didn’t work very well. I’m still committed to completing this task, so I’ll just continue to the best I can.

  48. Right on target for today. This has been a great experience for me. While rearranging my schedule to find reading time, God has helped me be more productive with the rest of my day.

  49. I’m up to date. Hoping to get ahead a bit with the kids back in school. I so enjoy getting the big picture. Now I am starting to remember where the books are in the Bible (I’ve never been able to keep track before), and sermons seem to make more sense these days!

  50. Still behind by about a week or so but I have not given up and I am working on catching up. I am glad my internet is working (it is very fickle) and that I am back from travelling where for most of last week I was without any way to get online.
