Good morning and happy day 5 of Journaling through the Bible in 90 days with me!
I do hope you are soaking in every word and fighting back well against all of those distractions that I know are hitting you from nearly every direction.
You CAN read the entire Bible in 90 days. And it WILL be worth it. The Bible tells us that His Word never returns void. So keep the course. Bit by bit, day by day. With Him, you got this!
Today the reading reminded me of how much weight he puts on our prayers. He wants to hear from us. The Israelites were miserable and cried out to Him. And he responded.
Today’s reading: Exodus 1:1- 15:18
Here is what I heard:
Scripture: Exodus 2:24
God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob.
Observation:
The people cried out and God listened to their cries and concerns and responded.
Application:
God hears my prayers and my concerns– and will respond. He wants me to know that He hears me. I need to present my requests to Him with faith that He hears and will respond.
Prayer:
Father God,
You are a great god who hears so much from so many. And yet each request is heard in love by you. Thank you for this reminder that you do in fact hear our prayers and you do take them into account. Thank you for listening. Thank you for acting. Thank you for your faithfulness and love.
