If you are reading with me, today we are on Proverbs 21. (Remembering what to read in the Proverbs is as easy as remembering the day’s date when you read them with me.) That being said:
Today’s Reading: Proverbs 21
Using the SOAP devotional method, here’s what I heard this time…
Scripture: Proverbs 21:5
The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance,
but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.
Hard work will be rewarded.
Yes, there is more here, but I believe that first part is what the Holy Spirit has in mind for me today. So…
I think that God is reminding me that hard work is hard, but it will pay off. I need to stay the course, do my homework, give things real effort and I will see results.
I’ve been persevering through a few things that have not been easy. He knows there is sunshine ahead in just the right spot.
Thanks, God, for this reassurance. Thanks for showing me my path and giving me strength and encouragement to persevere.
I’l admit it: I’m ready to see some of that sunshine and I hope it is coming soon. If it isn’t, though, I know it will be here in your timing.
Please gird me with your truth and your strength to make it where I need to go. Please equip me with the tools I need to do what needs to be done. Please guide me in my meetings today and always. And let me dance in that sunshine with You soon. As you know, I sure could use a few victories.
I love you. Thank you, Father.
