Proverbs in 31 Days: Day 21, Proverbs 21: Perseverance will be rewarded

Proverbs in 31 Days with MomsToolbox
Happy Monday!

I’m back on track for work today and hoping jet lag doesn’t get me :)

Today we are on Proverbs 21.

Today’s Reading: Proverbs 21

Using the SOAP devotional method, here’s what I heard this time…

Scripture: Proverbs 21:5

The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance,

but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.

Observation:

Hard work will be rewarded.

Application:

Yes, there is more here, but I believe that first part is what the Holy Spirit has in mind for me today. So…

I think that God is reminding me that hard work is hard, but it will pay off. I need to stay the course, do my homework, give things real effort and I will see results.

I’ve been persevering through a few things that have not been easy. He knows there is sunshine ahead in just the right spot.

Prayer:

Thanks, God, for this reassurance. Thanks for showing me my path and giving me strength and encouragement to persevere.

Please gird me with your truth and your strength to take me where I need to go. Please equip me with the tools I need to do what needs to be done. Please guide me in my meetings today and always. And let me dance in that sunshine with You soon. I am thankful for the victories I have experienced… and the ones ahead.

I love you. Thank you, Father.

  1. This is so hard at times to even visualize that there will be sunshine at some point. But God is good and He always gives me just a enough to keep going on some days. :)

    1. Some days and seasons is sure IS hard. Hang in there. Just prayed for you.
